Our Expertise

Specialising in electrical, telecommunications installation and project management, the Strong Services team has project management experience working in the London Underground and Network Rail environment.

Our core skills include electrical engineers, network engineers, commissioning engineers, electricians and telecommunications engineers. All backed up by our quality management system which is ISO 9001:2015 BSI accredited. 

Our Recent Projects:

Crossrail Project

We were proud to be awarded the Gating and Passenger Operated Machine installation contracts for the Crossrail Project. The work schedules at these stations are complex due to the amount of contractors and services working together on site, despite this, all stations completed to date have been completed on time.

Stations we have completed to so far are – Bond Street, Abbey Wood, Custom House, Woolwich Arsenal.

We have also been awarded Tottenham Court Road phase 2 & Canary Wharf, these are due to start imminently.

Victoria Station

This station has undergone a major reconstruction, we were awarded the contract for the installation of the new Automatic Fare Collection Gating System. The project was delivered to programme, in challenging circumstances with many other contractors working on the site.

LCP3 (Logic Control Panel)

A project in which we upgraded the Automatic Fare Collection system on the London Underground network, to enable the launch of contactless payment cards across the entire system.

This entailed replacing all of the existing LCP hardware with LCP3 hardware. This allows the system to quickly process and download Credit/Debit card data and help prevent fraud. Once the hardware installation was complete the gateline software and Ticket Hall Station Computer were reconfigured and commissioned. Handover documentation was then provided to the client.

Bank Note/Pound Coin Recycler upgrade to Ticket Machines 

We were the exclusive provider of the labour resources for the roll-out of this project across the London Underground network. The project consisted of installing new hardware and programming software to each ticket issuing machine to enable the use of the new bank notes/coins and reject notes/coins that were coming out of circulation.

PVAL installations for Oyster cards

We were the exclusive provider of the labour resources for the roll-out of this project across the London Underground network. The project consisted of installing new hardware, software, electrical/data cabling and containment to passenger operated ticket/oyster machines.

Relocation & Installation of Video Help Points throughout London Underground and Network Rail

An ongoing project in which we relocate Video Help Points throughout the south east.
